Phleger Estate Miramontes Trail Closed for Public Safety January 2022 Until Trail is Replaced
Due to previous storm damage, the trail has been closed until the park can re-route it to a better location. Until construction of a re-route is complete, the trail will be closed.

China Beach Construction in 2024
The first phase of the China Beach rehabilitation project has just completed. Work will resume in late 2024. The parking lot and beach access remain open at this time. See link for more.
Presidio Trust Managed Trails Annual Temporary Closure for Coyote Breeding Season
To reduce the potential for coyote/dog conflict, Presidio Trust has proactively closed large sections of the Park Trail and the Bay Area Ridge Trail to dog walking. Trails will reopen to dog walking in fall after pupping season ends. See link for more.
USS San Francisco Memorial Lot & El Camino Del Mar Permit Parking Monday – Friday 6am - 6pm
Park visitors may park in non-reserved spaces at Navy Lot. Veterans Affairs San Francisco Health Care System permit holders must park in the signed parking spaces. Parking permits in effect from 6am – 6pm, Monday through Friday, except federal holidays.
Partial closure of Drown Road (trail) at Fort Baker in June/July 2024
Sections of Drown Road (trail) at Fort Baker will be closed intermittently in late June through July for the installation of telecom infrastructure. Please pay attention to signage around the closed areas.
Heavy equipment moving sand at Ocean Beach starting week of July 22, 2024
A small section of beach around the seawall will be temporarily closed as heavy equipment removes sand to ensure continued visitor access. This work, which is performed annually, will take place 7AM-6PM each weekday and will last approximately one month.
