Early Closure on December 23, 2023
The African Burial Ground National Monument Visitor Center and the Outdoor Memorial will close today, December 23, 2023, at 3:00 pm. The Visitor Center and the Outdoor Memorial will reopen on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at 10:00 am.
Monument Area Closed for Maintenance Activities.
Please be advised that the monument area at African Burial Ground is temporarily closed until further notice, due to maintenance activities. However, the Visitor Center remains open to the public with a normal operating schedule.
African Burial Ground Outdoor Memorial Closure
The outdoor grounds at African Burial Ground National Monument are closed until further notice. The Visitor Center remains open, Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
