Visitor Center Restrooms will be closed for Servicing Virgin Islands National Park
At 1:30PM on Friday 08/03/2023 the Visitor Center restrooms at Virgin Islands National Park will be closed so that WAPA can change out the water meters. It is anticipated that this action will have the restrooms inaccessible for 24 hours or less.

A Rip Current Statement is in effect in the US Virgin Islands until 8:00 AM on Monday, October 30, 2023. High surf will bring life-threatening rip currents to St. John's north shore.
Heat Advisory
A Heat Advisory is in effect for the US Virgin Islands on Wednesday September 13, 2023, from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Use caution when engaging in outdoor activities such as hiking and swimming, avoid direct sun, and drink water throughout the day.
High Surf Advisory
A High Surf Advisory is in effect for the US Virgin Islands through Sunday, October 29 2023. Waves between 8 and 12 feet will bring life threatening rip currents to St. John's north shore.
Areal Flood Watch
The US Virgin Islands are under an Areal Flood Watch through 8:00 AM on Monday, October 30, 2023. Excessive rainfall is likely to bring to flooding to low-lying, flood-prone areas.
Temporary lane closures on North Shore Road (Route 20)
Vegetation will be cleared from the shoulders of North Shore Road (Route 20) over the next 4 weeks. Intermittent single lane closures may be in place during this time. Thank you for using caution while driving and helping to keep staff and each other safe
Trail Conditions
Rain may cause trails to be slick and overgrown. Staff and Volunteer Trail Crews clear trails regularly. Visitors should use caution and report trail issues to viis_interpretation@nps.gov
